OPTISK BEDRAG
Vestavill´s first album, optisk bedrag.
Release: august 25. 2017
"Optisk Bedrag" consist of thirteen compositions by Trygve Brøske, Dmitrij Sjostakovitsj and William Walton - played by two extremely accomplished musicians.
The common theme for the songs on this album is that they are about stories that not always makes sense. Absurd, small treasures - grotesque and full of dark humor - these are the foundation for an album that is impossible to describe with an specific genre. A blend of raw humor, sadness and seriosity, aims for the listeners heart. Vestavill search for what will happen when Brøske, Sjostakovitsj and Walton are mixed together. On this album you will hear classical musicians that are not afraid to experiment with a ruff sound landscape, that is not a common thing in classical music. Optisk Bedrag is an consept album, and the music is never earlier recorded by Norwegian musicians. It is something else than an ordinary classical album, and shows that also in classical music is important and possible to have a personal playing.
