FIR is Aase's fourth album.

Norwegian guitarist Andreas Aase plays Scandinavian acoustic music. Drawing inspiration from art, books, music, nature and buildings, he carefully constructs folk-based tunes and improvisations in an ongoing musical conversation between the past and the present. He usually performs alone, as on the records "Tre" and "V. (Bach)", but also enjoys surrounding himself with his favorite musicians, for example on the quartet recording "Fir". Andreas has brought his Nordic-sounding guitar music to concert audiences in North America, Germany, Scandinavia and Great Britain, he records for Øra Fonogram, and he plays instruments by luthier Arnt Rian.
